Therapy is an investment, and the return is a better quality of life

Therapy is a commitment. It takes time and money. It involves putting in work in and out of session, and being real with your therapist and yourself, even when it's hard and uncomfortable.

Therapy also allows you the experience in empowering yourself to heal, grow, and change your life.

If you've made the decision to start therapy, you're ready to do this thing.

And I'm ready to do this thing with you. When you choose me as your therapist, you invest in the value that I offer.

Working with me includes:
  • Providing in-person and online sessions for convenience with scheduling or level of comfort
  • A Client Portal that allows for scheduling & re-scheduling online, and sends text or email reminders
  • The use of a specialized technique called EMDR for anyone who seem extra stuck in negative thoughts
  • Coordinating with other health & wellness providers if needed to ensure quality in your treatment
  • Assessments to monitor your progress
  • Optional or family/couples sessions as beneficial to your treatment

Fees

The first session is 75 minutes. We'll review any questions you have about the paperwork, therapy in general, and my practice policies. To help with my assessment, I will ask you more clarifying questions about the information you provided, and be sure I understand what your goals are for therapy.
75 min Initial Intake Appointment: $300

Ongoing sessions after the intake appointment are 50 minutes. I ask my clients to commit to weekly sessions for our first 3 months together to ensure we set a solid foundation, and so I can get the best picture of where you are coming from, and how I can help. After 3 months, we'll determine together if weekly still feels appropriate before moving to bi-weekly or once a month.
Weekly 50 minute sessions: $250

It's often that 50 minutes just doesn't feel like enough time. For clients who request, I can offer 75 minute sessions for those who believe they'd benefit from longer sessions.
75 minute individual sessions: $275

Things come up during your session, and we might decide it could be really be helpful to talk about with your partner, parent, or friend together. I'm able to provide couple and family sessions as appropriate for your treatment.
75 minute couple/family sessions: $325

Forms of Payment

Cash, check, and major credit cards are accepted. Payment is due at time of session. You can store a credit card on file in the client portal to make payments super easy.

Cancellation Policy

48 hours notice of cancellation is required for no charge. If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of appointment, half of the set rate will be charged. No shows will be charged the full rate.

Insurance

I do not participate with any insurance panels and am considered an out-of-network provider.
However, through your insurance, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for our sessions. I am happy to provide you with a monthly “superbill” which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance carrier directly to determine if they will cover a portion of my fees as an out-of-network provider. Please note, providing a "superbill" would require me to provide your insurance company with a mental health diagnosis for you, which will be a part of your permanent medical record. Here are some questions you can ask your insurance provider:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is the benefit for out-of-network providers?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Why don't I accept insurance? Because being an out of network provider allows me to be the most flexible with your treatment and as confidential as possible.
Sure, using insurance is less cost out of pocket, but the process of using your insurance is not completely confidential and creates barriers for quality treatment. Insurance companies dictate things like length of treatment and sessions, and require that you are diagnosed with a mental health disorder for therapy to be paid for. A mental health diagnosis remains permanently on your health record. Insurance companies also have access to know why you are going to therapy and what progress you are making. They have the right to audit your therapy files &notes, and ask questions of your therapist about your treatment.

By bypassing insurance, I am able to keep your records secure & confidential, without limitations of an insurance company, ensuring you quality treatment you deserve.
