Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What Days & Times are You Available for Appointments?
A: Generally, my office hours are:
Fridays & Weekends: CLOSED
Q: Why Don't You Take Insurance?
A: While using insurance is less cost out of pocket, the process of using your insurance is not completely confidential. Your insurance company requires that you are diagnosed with a mental health disorder, which remains on your health record. They have access to know why you are going to therapy and what progress you are making. They have the right to audit your therapy files ¬es, and ask questions of your therapist about your treatment. These records could potentially be accessed to your employer. Without having to provide a mental health diagnosis, I am able to keep your records secure and confidential.
Q: Do you offer sliding scale fees?
A: I do have sliding scale fees for a limited time frame and for limited number of clients. As of Summer 2019 I currently do not have any sliding scale openings.
Q: It looks like you only see individuals, do you see couples & family members too?
A:I generally focus on sessions with individuals, though I often provide family or couples sessions, if appropriate in addition to individual treatment.
Q: I'm a teenager, does my parent have to know what we talk about?
